Glass Apps, the leader in Switchable Glass and Film, which changes from clear and opaque states on demand, today announced the appointment of William Ostrander to the role of chief technology officer. Ostrander most recently served as vice president and general manager at Citala US. Ostrander brings extensive experience with manufacturing Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) switchable films, including working for the originator of the technology, Taliq Corp. Ostrander will report to Thomas Lee, Glass Apps chief executive officer and will focus on customer needs and product quality.

Ostrander holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
